I just want to thank those of you who sent me notes while I was away these past several months. It was a difficult trip, surrounded by much darkness and deception, but alas, I have emerged triumphant, at least for now, and were it not for the sacred nature of my covert mission I could shout it from the rooftops. Maybe another time.

Elder the 3rd-
You have opened my eyes, but not in the way you think. I was interested in this man and the similarities of his revelations and that of our prophet. I went to wikipedia in search of more information about his life and found something very interesting. Not only are his views on the degrees of glory very much the same, but read his,

"Swedenborg considered his theology a revelation of the TRUE Christian religion that had become obfuscated through centuries of theology. However, he did not refer to his writings as theology since he considered it based on actual experiences, unlike theology.[13] Neither did he wish to compare it to philosophy, a science he in 1748 discarded because it "darkens the mind, blinds us, and wholly rejects the faith".[50]
The foundation of Swedenborg's theology was laid down in Arcana Cœlestia, or Heavenly Secrets, published in eight volumes from 1749 to 1756. In a significant portion of that work, he interprets Biblical passages. "

Did you get the chills? I did. Add to that the fact that he died in
1772. Joseph Smith wasn't born until 1805!
So I say to you Elder, Is there room that they are both correct, one no more than the other, considering that JS is simply the the re-incarnation of Emanuel Swedenborg!

Wow . . . and here I thought you were gone for good Stevie-Boy. Does this mean your lap-dog Peter Goode will pop up on this site again too? I shudder to think about it.

For the rest of you out there, it's people like Stevie-Boy that forced Pres. Hinckley the necessity of going on national TV and saying we're not a "weird" people.

It seems to correspond with Neoplatonic ideas about the structure of Godhead and the process of emanantion. It would be no surprise if both Paul and Swedenborg were fully aware of those ideas.
